| The
bonejockeys are Jay Ward and Don Rosler in a cheerful exploration
of the darker and weirder sides of the human landscape. From
the confessor down “in the shadows,
beyond the streetlights” to the working man up on a rooftop
dreaming of building a scaffold to heaven’s gate to the delusional
lover confusing reality and virtual reality, the bonejockeys build
a campfire for them to gather around and tell their stories. Along
the way they enlist (mostly willingly) LaJuan Carter, Bernard
Wright, Dave
Tronzo, Brian
Mitchell, Mindy Johnston, Marc
Shulman and other
stellar NYC area cohorts. The result is sweet ’n’ sour,
delicate and brutal, funny and disturbing — a celebration
of the saint and sinner in all of us.
